Foot Clan Fashion Week

One-shot

Adventure Summary

A legitimate-seeming streetwear brand called "Shadow Stitch" has taken the underground fashion scene by storm, but it's actually a front for the Foot Clan's money laundering operation. During their exclusive runway show in an abandoned subway station, the Clan plans to simultaneously steal a shipment of experimental bio-enhancers from a passing armored transport. The party must infiltrate the fashion show, uncover the scheme, and stop the heist before the Foot Clan escapes with technology that could create an army of enhanced criminals.

Session Zero

Setting: Modern-day urban environment with anthropomorphic animals and mutants living in society's shadows. Players are street-level heroes, vigilantes, or investigators who operate outside the law.

Tone: Action-comedy with martial arts flair. Think underground culture meets ninja conspiracy.

Content Warnings: Violence (martial arts combat), criminal activity, mild body horror (discussion of mutation/bio-enhancement).

Character Expectations: Players should have characters invested in protecting their city from organized crime. Fashion knowledge is not required but can add fun roleplay moments.

The Hook

Choose the hook that best fits your group:

Hook 1 — The Invitation: A contact gives the party counterfeit VIP passes to Shadow Stitch's exclusive show. They've heard rumors the brand is dirty and need eyes inside. The passes are good—really good—which means someone powerful wants them there.

Hook 2 — Following the Money: While investigating recent Foot Clan activity, the party discovers coded ledgers showing huge cash flows through "Shadow Stitch Apparel." The brand's runway show tonight is the perfect opportunity to investigate.

Hook 3 — Personal Stake: One of the party members has a friend/sibling/contact who models for Shadow Stitch. They've gone silent for three days, and their last message mentioned "something wrong at the show." The friend's tracker ping last showed them at the abandoned Worth Street subway station.

Scene 1 — The Underground Runway

The party descends into the renovated Worth Street subway station, now transformed into a neon-soaked underground venue. Exposed brick walls display projected Shadow Stitch logos—a stylized shadow doing a crane kick. The old tracks have been covered with a sleek runway. About 80 guests mingle: influencers, street artists, and several obvious Foot Clan members trying (poorly) to blend in wearing designer versions of their traditional garb.

What Players Notice:

Investigation Opportunities:

NPC Interaction: Sasha the model (see NPCs) can be befriended with kind words or offers of help. She'll hint that "the bosses are planning something big when the runway starts" but is too frightened to say more.

Scene 2 — Backstage Access

The party must choose their approach:

Option A — Social Infiltration: Posing as designers, photographers, or models to get backstage.

Option B — Stealth Entry: Sneaking through service tunnels.

Option C — Direct Confrontation: Demanding answers from security.

The Discovery: Through any successful approach, players learn:

Key Choice: Do players: 1. Try to stop the show and evacuate civilians (preventing the heist but losing the element of surprise) 2. Let the show continue and prepare for the ambush (risking civilian exposure to combat) 3. Split the party to handle both (requiring coordination)

Scene 3 — Runway Rumble

The show begins. Music throbs. Models strut. Then—right on schedule—the platforms begin lowering as the Foot Clan makes their move. The maintenance tunnel's ceiling cracks open as hydraulic cutters activate.

Combat Setup:

Complications:

Possible Endings:

Ending 1 — Clean Victory: Party stops the heist, captures Kai Nomura, recovers all Project Chrysalis canisters. Civilians are safe. Shadow Stitch's money laundering operation is exposed. Sasha and other models thank the party and become valuable street-level contacts.

Ending 2 — Partial Success: Heist is stopped but Kai escapes, or some canisters are taken but the Foot Clan is driven off. The party must deal with consequences: escaped enemies will return, or leaked bio-enhancers appear on the black market in future adventures.

Ending 3 — Pyrrhic Victory: The party wins but civilians were harmed, or the party used excessive force and destroyed the evidence against Shadow Stitch. Foot Clan escapes to fight another day. The public blames the party for the chaos, complicating future investigations.

NPCs

Kai Nomura: Shadow Stitch's creative director and Foot Clan jonin. Charismatic ferret mutant wearing haute couture gi. Motivation: Prove worth to the Clan's grandmaster by securing bio-enhancer technology.

Sasha Brightwhisker: Rabbit mutant model with synthwave-colored fur. Anxious but brave. Motivation: Escape the Foot Clan's control and protect fellow models who've been coerced into the operation.

Vincent "Vinnie" Marks: Weasel mutant photographer who's actually an undercover cop. Will help the party if his cover isn't blown. Motivation: Gather evidence against the Foot Clan without getting himself or civilians killed.

Razor: Kai's lieutenant, a scarred gecko mutant who handles security. All business, no flair. Motivation: Execute the heist perfectly; considers the fashion show an embarrassing distraction.

Mika Chen: Human fashion blogger with 500k followers livestreaming the event. Can be an asset or complication. Motivation: Get the exclusive scoop, regardless of danger.
